As we continue with our meet the driver series, TNR newcomer Stephen Dosiak Jr., driver of the #55 car, will be our next participant.
Q: Since you are completely new to Total Nonstop Racing, could you please introduce yourself to your fellow racers and the fans? (where you’re from, what you do, etc)
A: My name is Stephen (Doz) Dosiak Jr. I’m 26 years old born and raised in Swoyersville, PA. I am a second assistant Superintendent at Huntsville Golf Club in Lehman, PA.
Q: What was the reason you decided to start iRacing?
A: I had no idea iRacing was even a simulator. I first tuned in this year to the live NASCAR broadcasts during the Covid-19 pandemic and was instantly hooked. With the help of the stimulus check, I used that money to purchase a setup and rig. I had no idea what I had gotten myself into two months ago, but I am sure glad I made the jump from PlayStation to PC.
Q: This is your first full season with us at TNR. What would you say the expectations are for your #55 team?
A: First off, I would like to thank my sponsor TechHub out of Missouri for giving me the full ARCA sponsorship ride. With only being on the sim for two months, I am looking to be competitive every race. If I finish in the top half of the standings for this first season, I’d be extremely happy because this TNR league has a bunch of great veteran drivers. Look for the #55 TechHub in the top 10.
Q: In your short time in TNR, you’ve become somewhat of a diplomat and have encouraged fellow TNR racers to join you in other league races. Do you feel like this extra track time with them benefits you?
A: For sure. I am an admin for our Sunday night Kicking Asphalt Racing Series league, and I recruited Floppy and Wags. I think running laps with those guys has not only helped me learn their racing styles but I am now able to pick their brain for some tips to help me become faster and more experienced. Late in the race, one of us could benefit from learning each other’s weaknesses and possibly secure a P1.
Q: I’m aware of your previous relationship with Monacelli and Lucarelli through NEPA Cornhole, but my question is: Would it be more satisfying to beat them on the track or at a tournament?
A: Wow. That’s a tough one. First off, I am very thankful Tony and Matt took me under their wing at cornhole. I’ve been with them for a year now and made some great memories. With that being said, Matt and Tony are a dynamite team in doubles and both are great singles players. To answer your question, I would rather beat them on the track because that gives bragging rights at cornhole. Plus, this will make for a little rivalry I feel.
